Students from the Department of Computer Applications, Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara — Ms. Shweta Patil, Mr. Rohan Deshmukh, and Ms. Tejaswini Kachare — achieved remarkable success by securing the First Prize at the “Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha – National Student Conference for Ignited Young Cyber Minds (Cyber YouthCon 2K25)” held at Government College of Karad. Guided by Ms. Snehal Jadhav, the team presented an insightful project on “Phishing and Email Scams.” Their presentation effectively highlighted the growing threats of phishing attacks and the importance of user awareness in ensuring cybersecurity. The award recognizes their deep understanding, innovative approach, and excellent communication skills. This accomplishment demonstrates the department’s focus on cybersecurity awareness and research-based learning. It also brings pride to the institution by showcasing the students’ talent at a national-level platform.

The Departments of MCA and BCA jointly celebrated Reader’s Day on 15th October 2025, marking the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India and an inspirational scientist known as the “People’s President.” The event aimed to honor Dr. Kalam’s vision of knowledge, education, and continuous learning, inspiring students to develop a lifelong reading habit.

The Department of Computer Applications (MCA) organized a lively and memorable Fresher’s Party on 11th October 2025 to warmly welcome the newly admitted MCA Part I students. The event was creatively planned and managed by the enthusiastic MCA Part II students, with the active support and coordination of all faculty members of the department.

The Department of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) organized an industrial visit to Crane Process Flow Technology, MIDC Satara, on 7th October 2025 for the students of MCA Part II. A total of 50 students enthusiastically participated in this visit, which aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry exposure. The visit was coordinated and arranged by Mr. Swapnil Khandagale and Ms. Vanmala Kadam, faculty members of the MCA Department. Their efforts ensured that students gained valuable insights into real-world industrial operations and the application of technology in process automation and manufacturing systems.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 22nd September 2025 between Techsarathi Consultancy and Services LLP and the Department of Computer Applications. This MoU marks a strong industry–academia collaboration, aiming to create a shared platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and practical learning. Through this partnership, students will gain industry exposure, project opportunities, and mentorship from professionals. The initiative will help bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices, fostering innovation and employability among students.

The Department of Computer Application (MCA) organized a Parents’ Meet on 18th September 2025 for the parents of MCA I and MCA II students at Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Samiksha Nikam, Head of Department, along with the active involvement of all faculty members.

The Department of Computer Applications (MCA), Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, successfully organized a four-day Induction Program for the newly admitted MCA-I students for the Academic Year 2025–26. The event was held from 15th July to 18th July 2025, with around 50 enthusiastic students participating in the engaging sessions and activities.

The program commenced on 15th July 2025 with a formal introduction, where HOD Mam welcomed the students, followed by Mr. Khandagale Sir introducing the college and department, and Mr. Chougoule Sir briefing the students about the MCA course structure.

The MCA Department of Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, successfully conducted an informative online meeting regarding the admission process for the MCA I program on 16/05/2025 and 23/05/2025. The virtual session was aimed at guiding aspiring students and their parents through the admission procedure, eligibility criteria, and academic offerings of the department. On 16/05/2025 there are 85 students was attended the online meeting and 78 students are attending the meeting on 23/05/2025.

The Department of MCA at Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, recently hosted a heartfelt and memorable farewell party for the outgoing MCA II students. The event took place on 16/05/2025, and was filled with emotions, laughter, music, and moments that will be cherished forever. . What started as a vibrant and well-planned event took an unexpected turn when sudden rain showers interrupted the evening—but that didn’t dampen the spirit of celebration.

Organized by the MCA I students under the guidance of faculty members, the farewell was a perfect blend of celebration and gratitude. The venue was beautifully decorated, setting the stage for an evening that honored the journey of the graduating batch. Students and staff alike came together to bid adieu to their seniors in a spirit of warmth and camaraderie.

The Department of MCA proudly hosted the much-anticipated "Web War" competition, an annual event designed to ignite the spirit of innovation, coding brilliance, and design creativity among aspiring web developers. Held on 16/04/2025, the competition drew enthusiastic participation from students across all semesters, turning the department into a vibrant hub of tech excitement and intellectual challenge.

The Department of MCA at Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, proudly announces a major milestone in its academic journey – the successful grant of NBA (National Board of Accreditation) accreditation. This achievement follows the official NBA Committee visit conducted on 7th, 8th, and 9th March 2025.

The visit by the expert NBA team was a comprehensive evaluation of the department’s academic processes, teaching-learning methodologies, student outcomes, infrastructure, faculty involvement, research initiatives, and industry linkages. The FDP aimed to enhance the knowledge and teaching methodologies of faculty members by introducing them to cutting-edge AI tools and their practical applications in academics and research. The Department of MCA proudly celebrates the placement of seven of its final-year students at Karad Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., where they have secured roles with higher salary packages, setting a new benchmark for campus placements this year.

The recruitment drive was part of the department’s ongoing efforts to provide excellent career opportunities to its students through strong industry connections and skill-building initiatives. The selected students have been offered positions in the IT department as IT Managers, where they will be responsible for managing core banking technologies, digital solutions, cybersecurity systems, and infrastructure support.

The MCA-II students of Yashoda Technical Campus have demonstrated remarkable academic excellence in the Shivaji University merit list. Miss Sakshi Lahute secured the 6th rank with an impressive 77.69%, showcasing her consistent dedication and hard work. The TECHXPLORE2(Poster Presentation) 2K24 competition was organised for Second Year students of Master of Computer Application  department. The event commenced by introducing judges and participants by Dr. S.V. Balshetwar Ma'am and Dr. S.A. Bhosale Ma'am. The objective of the competition was to ignite the fire of imagination and creativity in the students. The theme of the competition was “Blockchain Technology”, "Cloud Computing", "Smart Education", "Smart Automation", "Clean and Green Technology".

The Yashoda Institute’s , Faculty of MCA in association with AICTE and Brainovision, is organizing a national-level Short-Term Training Program (STTP) on Java Full Stack with React JS and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara Faculty of MBA and MCA had organized Induction Program for the new Academic Batch 2024-2025. On this program our YTC Founder-President Hon. Prof. Dasharath Sagare sir, Vice-President Hon. Prof. Ajinkya Sagare sir, our Director Dr. V.K. Redasani sir, MBA and MCA HOD and Guest Hon. The Training and Placement Opportunities Cell at Yashoda Technical Campus organized a successful placement drive in collaboration with Karad Urban Bank on 5th September 2024, specifically for MCA students. Prof. P.S. Gade coordinated the entire event, ensuring smooth execution of the process. A total of 27 enthusiastic students from MCA and CSE and KBP College participated in the placement drive. In India 5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a staunch believer of education and a well known diplomat, visionary, statesman, scholar, President of India and above all a perfect Teacher. In 1962, when Dr. Radhakrishnan became the President of India, he was approached with a request of celebrating his birthday.

National Sports Day is celebrated every year on 29 August to commemorate the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand whose magic with the hockey stick can never be forgotten. The day raises awareness about physical activity, sports, and overall health. Furthermore, it lauds the outstanding support given by the families, coaches, and support staff towards the success of athletes. Sports not only develop a sense of friendliness and team spirit but also help develop physical toughness and mental health. It shapes the body, makes it strong and active. National Sports Day was established to commemorate his contributions and to inspire future generations to excel in sports.

            Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara Faculty of MCA has organized ALUMNI MEET – 2024 for the batches of 2014 and onwards. The alumni meet is to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various achievements. The Alumni started arriving in college by 10.30 a.m. and they were received by the registration team and they have been asked to fill the registration form. The Alumni Meet started with a welcome address by the Head Department of MCA Dr. Smita Patil Ma’am. The meeting was graced by the Director Dr. V.K. Redasani Sir. After the all dignitary’s speech one alumni Mrs, Rohini Lokhande shared her experience with all.

             On 24^th August 2024, Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara Faculty of MCA has organized an event on “Tree Plantation in campus garden”. Dr. V.K. Redasani sir, Director (YTC), Dr. Smita Patil Ma’am (MCA HOD), all teaching staff and students were present during the event.

            All staff and students of MCA were present in the Campus Garden. The event started with the speech of our Dr. V.K. Redasani sir, Director, YTC. He has explained about the importance of plantation and has motivated student to plant trees and water it every day until their academic session.

            The tree is the key to a pollution-free environment for a long time because they are responsible for providing oxygen, improving the quality of air, climate amelioration, conserving water, soil preservation, and supporting wildlife. Due to all these reasons, tree plantation has become necessary in the present scenario as pollution is at a peak. Tree plantation is the only way to control pollution to some extent.

The Department of Master of Computer Application has organized Project Exhibition - 2K24 for the second year students. Projects are developed on innovative ideas and it has attracted many student visitors to the Project Exhibition 2k24.The Exhibition was held on 05^th and 6^th Aug 2024 at MCA II Classroom. The major objective of organizing this exhibition was to provide the platform and unleash the potential of the students by showcasing their innovative projects developed in the Second Year either focusing Industry Defined Problems or User Defined Problems and provide an opportunity for the students to demonstrate their learning experience after the completion of their Industry training.

MCA department has organized the Farewell Ceremony 2024 on the date 25^th April 2024 for MCA II. As in Academic Year 2024 these batch are going to be passed out.

 MCA 1^st year students have taken an initiative to making this farewell grand. Our students of MCA 1^st year have taken the prominence in accordance of arranging the farewell ceremony also they have initiated for giving their seniors refreshment too.

Firstly the program was initiated with the Formal approach as the Higher Authorized persons in Yashoda Technical campus were came for inauguration. There were our Director Dr. V.K. Redasani Sir Presented for the Formal Inaugural Ceremony. Afterwards program was started with the Saraswati Pujan which was done by all the guests.

The program was stepping ahead with the speech of HOD of MCA Dr. S. P. Patil Ma’am.  As she has motivated our students in well efficient manner. She has also given the importance your responsibilities towards Society which is most needed part of being human.

MCA Department in association with Brain O vision has organized the 5 days’ student workshop on Data Science using Python, held from 19^th February to 23^rd February 2024. The workshop featured esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer of AICTE, who is dedicated to making India the education and knowledge capital of the world. With participation from over 250 host colleges and a staggering 70,000+ students, the event was a resounding success, showcasing the global interest and enthusiasm for data science education.

Cleanliness is one of the most important practices for a clean and healthy environment. To aware all students about cleanliness “Swacchata Abhiyan” programme was organized on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of “Sant Gadge Baba” at  Bara Motechi Vihir, Satara on 24th Feb 2024. All students have actively participated in cleanliness drive. During this activity students have cleaned Bara Motechi vihir. All the faculty members participated in the programme with the message of keeping surrounding clean and green. It is everybody’s responsibility and one should keep themselves and their surroundings clean and hygienic.

The MCA department organized a significant event on February 16, 2024, commemorating World Salutation Day. The event aimed to highlight the importance of holistic well-being through practices such as pranayama, surya namaskar, and meditation. Dr. Santosh Itraj, a distinguished guest, graced the occasion and shared valuable insights on these practices. A total of 24 students attended the session.

Following the demonstration, Dr. Itraj engaged the audience in an interactive session, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and share their experiences related to the discussed practices. This interactive exchange fostered a deeper understanding of the subject matter and encouraged active participation from the attendees.

Yashoda Technical Campus, Faculty of MCA and MBA along with Rotary Club Satara and Kothrud organized a Youth Leadership Seminar aimed at empowering young minds with essential leadership skills and knowledge about brain power and energy. The seminar comprised many insightful sessions conducted by eminent speakers.

Key topics covered included effective communication, decision-making, teamwork, and goal setting. Participants actively participated in discussions and interactive activities, gaining valuable leadership insights. Dr. Sumedha Bhosale, a renowned expert in neuroscience, captivated the audience with her session on the power of the brain. She discussed the importance of understanding brain functions, memory enhancement techniques, and strategies for improving cognitive abilities. Practical tips on stress management, relaxation techniques, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle were shared, empowering the students to prioritize their energy levels for peak performance.

Faculty of MCA has organized Online “परिक्षा पे चर्चा” on 29^th Jan 2024 for MCA I and MCA II students.

In the seventh edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students, teachers and parents at New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam today. Over 4,000 students attended the event, officials say. More than 205.62 million students, along with over 14.93 million teachers and 5.69 million parents, have enrolled for PPC 2024. The proceedings were being streamed on various social media platforms, including the Education Ministry, the Prime Minister’s Office, PIB, and others. Talking to students, PM Modi explained that the stress is of three types – induced by parents, peers and self-induced as well. He said that students should compete with themselves and not worry about anyone else in the exam hall. Calling the students as the architects of future of India, PM Modi said the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme is like a pariksha for him too.

Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara has organized “नमो नव मत् दाता संमेलन” on 25^th Jan 2024. On this event as chief guest Shrimant Chatarpati Udaynraje Bhosale sir was present. Our President Hon. Prof. Dasharath Sagare sir welcomed the guests with bouquets. After that the online session was started. Our Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi sir interacted online with a college students. The Training and Placement Opportunities cell has organized a Guest session on “An Interactive session and Hands on Training on Power of Data & Cloud Infrastructure” for the students of MCA and Engineering. The guest lecture on Cloud Computing was conducted on 01/12/2023 at Yellow Seminar by Mr. Amol Barsagade, Founder and Director, Unimorph Consulting, Pune. The session aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills related to leveraging data and cloud infrastructure for enhanced business capabilities.
